About Me
A brief Introduction...
BIO
I began my career in Aviation in 1991 and have worked primarily as an IFR controller in Oceanic, High and Low Enroute environments with NAV CANADA. I've been an Instructor at the national training facility, an OJI, and currently work as the Technical Services Manager for the Moncton FIR overseeing 60+ team members, ATM and CNS requirements, automation, and project delivery.
Music
I've always had a passion for music and taught myself to play numerous instruments over the past 40 years. My music room is filled with guitars, banjos, mandolins and various other instruments. My Gibson J-45 though, is my most prized guitar.
I've been a member of several local bands, and have even been known to sing once or twice.
Art
I recently discovered the pre-retirement hobby of oil painting. I've taken a lot of instruction from various sources and truly enjoy the relaxation it brings. I've mostly concentrated on landscapes, but have done an occasional still life.
You can see some of my art here.
Programming
Computer sciences have been a hobby of mine since high school. I am not a professional developer, but I do continuously try to learn new languages. In fact, this website was built by me (with a lot of help from Google and YouTube). I'm currently working on backend server-side languaues along with React.
Some people find coding to be tedious, but the thrill of making it work is exciting to me!
